PupManager

Memberships, so some of the money turns up on its own.

Most trainers earn in lumps. A block of sessions sold, a quiet fortnight, then another block. A membership is the part of the month that arrives whether or not you sold anything this week: clients join, they get what their tier reaches, and they stay.

Part of PupManager, dog training software for working trainers.

Set your tiers

One membership, or three. Your call.

Set up the tiers you want to sell, price them, and clients join. Someone holds one tier at a time, it renews on its own, and you can see at a glance who is paying and who you have let in for free. If memberships are not how you work, you never have to turn this on.

  • As many or as few tiers as you want
  • Renews on its own, so you are not invoicing every month
  • See who is paying and who is on a free one
  • Off entirely until you switch it on

What it gets them

Decide what being a member actually means.

Any class, product or piece of homework can be members-only, or left open to everyone. Nothing is behind a door until you put it there. A tier can also just make things cheaper, so being a member is worth something even when nothing is locked.

  • Make any offering, product or homework members-only
  • Or leave it open, which is how everything starts
  • Tiers can carry a discount instead of a lock
  • Members see what they can reach, and what they cannot

Joining and leaving

They join, move up, move down, or go.

Someone asks to join and you approve it. Later they want the bigger tier, or the smaller one, and that is a request you say yes to rather than a subscription anyone has to cancel and rebuild. If a payment fails there is a grace window before anything shuts, and you can hand out a free membership without it ever touching a card.

  • Approve who joins
  • Move someone up or down without starting again
  • A grace window when a payment fails, not an instant lock-out
  • Give someone a free membership, clearly marked as one

Packages

Bundle what you sell into one thing they buy.

A package is a bundle: three 1:1 sessions, a spot at the next workshop, a couple of things out of your library, bought in one go. It gets its own card on your storefront and its own welcome email, and both you and the client can see how many are left.

  • Bundle sessions, classes and products into one price
  • Sold outright, or on a repeating basis
  • You and the client both see how many are left
  • Run out and they can still book, at your normal price

Stop earning in lumps.
