Why we're building PupManager

title: Why we're building PupManager description: A note on what we're building, who it's for, and what we're not building. date: 2026-05-05 author: Karl

We're building PupManager because the trainers we know are great at training dogs and tired of being half-decent secretaries. The duct-tape stack — Acuity, Stripe, a Google Sheet, a Notion doc per client — works until it doesn't, and when it breaks it costs a session, a client, or a Sunday night.

So this is the pitch, in one line:

We give you back Sunday night.

We're not building a daycare-with-training-tab. We're not building a marketplace. We're not picking sides in the R+ vs. balanced argument. We're building software for the working trainer who runs private and small-group classes, sees the same client week over week, and wants the homework, the schedule, and the payment to live in one place.

If that's you, we'd love to hear from you — hello@pupmanager.com.
